In 2007, Josh Erdman (nicknamed Erdye), started Erdye’s Pest Control as part of a larger organization called Erdye’s Enterprises, which was a full service property management firm. In 2011, we left the property management arena so that we could focus solely on providing Pest Control. In 2012, Erdye’s Enterprises became Erdye’s Pest Control LLC.

Today, Erdye’s Pest Control is a family run Pest Control company and exterminator headquartered in Green Bay, WI with other offices in Appleton, Brookfield, Sturgeon Bay & Wausau, WI. We are fully certified and licensed in Wisconsin & Michigan. We provide service to both Residential and Commercial customers alike.

Here at Erdye’s we believe that all of our customers are family. We treat each of our customer’s needs as if they were our own. That means we take care of things quickly and fix your pest control problem the FIRST time.

Now, as the owner of Erdye’s Pest Control, he uses that belief to make sure all of his clients’ needs are taken care of. Josh manages all of the day-to-day activities in both the office and the field. He can most regularly be seen out in the field servicing both commercial and residential clients. Josh is certified and licensed to perform pest control services in both Wisconsin and Michigan. Josh also has several very specialized certifications, including T•A•P (Thermal, Acoustical, Pest Control) Insulation certified and Convectex Bed Bug Heat Treatment certified, thus allowing him to offer greater pest control options to clients.

Originally from Sheboygan, WI, my journey into pest control was accidental. Tired of working for a company I didn’t resonate with, I sought an honest and family-owned company, leading me to Erdye’s Pest Control. With a high school diploma and a background in graphic design, I gained extensive experience in pest control with another pest control company in the South Western part of the country. I worked my way up, obtaining an Expert Inspector Certification and taking on roles as a sales trainer and branch manager in various states.

Outside of work, I engage in board gaming, sports, hunting, and fishing. An interesting fact about me is that MacGyver is my first cousin.

In customer interactions, my approach is rooted in honesty, allowing customers to express their thoughts and providing them with comprehensive information.

The culture at Erdye’s Pest Control, characterized by a fun and honest environment, aligns with my values, emphasizing teamwork and job enjoyment. Helping people is the most fulfilling aspect of my job, and I particularly enjoy providing rodent services, solving the puzzle of their entry.

A memorable experience involves successfully addressing a challenging mouse problem for a customer who had doubts about finding a solution. The positive atmosphere of our workplace is reflected in the camaraderie and the support extended during personal challenges.

Erdye’s sets itself apart in the pest control industry by being family-owned, delivering quality work, and offering a range of services to meet diverse customer needs. Personally, I aspire to continue growing within the Erdye’s team, aiming for long-term commitment and eventually stepping into a managerial role.

My goals include taking care of my family and home personally, while professionally, I aim to grow within Erdye’s Pest Control, aspiring to become a sales manager.

After trying the college route post-high school and climbing the ranks at my previous job, I found myself seeking a change. Erdye’s presented itself, and despite never considering pest control before, I decided to give it a shot. Five years later, I can confidently say it was a good fit.

Approaching customer interactions, I prioritize thoroughness in every job. Handling concerns and ongoing pest issues, I go above and beyond, checking areas around houses that often go unnoticed. The follow-up is crucial; keeping customers informed provides peace of mind that the work is done correctly.

The culture at Erdye’s Pest Control stands out for its familial atmosphere. Despite not being related, everyone shares a sense of family throughout the company. This camaraderie contributes to a positive and collaborative work environment.

My personal values align seamlessly with Erdye’s; being a perfectionist in my own home carries over to treating every house I work on as if it were my own. Erdye’s sets itself apart in the industry by prioritizing the goal of solving customers’ problems rather than merely maintaining them.

The most fulfilling aspect of my job is taking pride in the work I do. With most jobs completed individually, being held accountable for my work motivates me to be the best at what I do. Reflecting on fond memories, a particularly amusing one involved discovering Nolan’s fear of pigeons during our yearly bird netting run in upper Michigan – a moment when the birds ended up chasing him!

Growing up in Pulaski, WI, I initially ventured into the production industry, but my quest for something less corporate and more interactive with people led me to Erdye’s. Beyond the office walls, my heart belongs to nature; I’m an avid sightseer in the woods and a beach wanderer, capturing the beauty through my lens. An interesting tidbit about me is my collection of rocks – despite having more than enough, I keep discovering them in pockets, bags, and even the doors of my car. Over the years, witnessing customers transition into new homes has been particularly rewarding.

It warms my heart when they reach out for our services again, sharing their satisfaction from past experiences. Erdye’s distinctive approach to pest control focuses on not just solving problems but fostering lasting relationships. Our commitment shines through in programs like our rodent control, alleviating customers’ distress and letting them rest easy. Amidst the serious work, the office environment at Erdye’s is laced with humor; we play pranks, like the infamous cricket-chirping card hidden by Josh, creating lasting and funny memories. Team-building get-togethers, complete with breathtaking firework displays over Eagle River, add the perfect touch to our shared experiences. At Erdye’s, it’s not just about solving pest problems; it’s about building connections that endure.

After a successful stint in the corporate executive world, I ventured into entrepreneurship, founding and rapidly expanding my own trucking company into a multimillion-dollar venture within three years. For two decades, life was on an upward trajectory with the establishment of six other businesses. However, circumstances took a downturn until I found a new beginning at Erdyes.

Beyond the business realm, my passion lies in my race team, PTR Racing, dedicated to my 13-year-old son, Porter, who is emerging as one of the top 30 drivers in North America. Managing sponsors and fundraising for his racing career consumes much of my time, creating a strong father-son bond in our racing endeavors. Additionally, I contributed to the design team for the movie Transformers: Age of Extinction, unveiling Optimist Prime alongside Mark Walberg at a truck show in Portland, OR.

Joining Erdye’s in 2023, I bring a wealth of experience and a commitment to an open and honest work environment. Believing in the “work hard, play hard” philosophy, Erdye’s aligns with my values, echoing the sentiment that life is more than just a paycheck.

In my late 50s, having achieved more than I dreamed, I now seek to coach and mentor others, drawing on the lessons learned from both success and setbacks. Recognizing that everyone has a unique version of success, I aim to share my experiences to guide others on their journeys. While I may not duplicate past successes, I bring a unique perspective to help others succeed in their own right.

Currently in a sales role at Erdye’s, I look forward to leading a team of associates, fostering both personal and company success. As a leader, helping others achieve significant goals defines success for me. Looking ahead, my larger-scale plan involves continuing to support my son’s racing career, ensuring he reaches the pinnacle of success in his chosen field.

Diverging from education, I delved into the world of pest control in 2018 while attending UW Oshkosh. This experience sparked a deep interest in the field, appreciating its stable market and enduring demand. Now a part of Erdye’s, I’m enamored with the familiar business model and the company’s strong customer focus.

Sports play a big part in my life; I’m an avid Packers, Bucks, and Brewers fan. As a Wisconsin native, hunting and fishing were integral parts of my upbringing. Joining Erdye’s, I bring a positive attitude to every customer encounter, understanding that sometimes, a friendly conversation is as important as the service we provide. Building relationships and ensuring 100% customer satisfaction resonate deeply, especially in Wisconsin.
